EMPI's Urethane Control Arm Bushing Kit fits 1973.5 through 1979 Super Beetles. The 15-piece bushing kit includes split bushings and sleeves for the inner control arm mounts, split bushings, sleeves for the sway bar (or strut bar), strut bar to chassis bushings, and a grease pack. The urethane bushings are far superior to the stock rubber components and may help cure the Super Beetle Shimmy. If you have a 1973 and are not sure if it is an early or late model, look at the lower ball joint. 1973 and earlier models have a bolt on ball joint. 1973 and later models have a press-in ball joint.
